Hi, we're the Tirpaks!
We’re Amy and DJ—parents, long-time fans of specialty toy stores, and big believers in the power of play. Amy’s background as a play therapist and DJ’s experience as a high school and college mascot give us both a deep appreciation for creativity, fun, and connection.
Our love for unique, well-made toys has taken us to incredible toy stores across the U.S. and abroad. We created The Toy Box to bring that same sense of wonder and discovery to families here in the Lake Norman area.
We dream of a full brick-and-mortar store that’s as fun for kids as it is helpful for parents—with interactive play areas, free gift wrapping, personalized recommendations, and in-store events.
